The best Shopify mix and match bundle apps in 2026 are NeatBundles, MBC, Kitenzo, Fast Bundle and Bundler. Pick NeatBundles for a full build your own bundle page, MBC for bundles on product pages, Kitenzo for headless and custom storefronts, Fast Bundle for every bundle type in one app, and Bundler for the lowest cost.
Even though we created NeatBundles, I've tried to give all five apps the same treatment, including the weak spots of our own. The other four are the apps merchants most often ask me about. There's no ranking. These apps solve different problems, and the right one depends on where you want shoppers to build their bundle and how you want to pay as you grow.
Every rating, review count and price below was checked on the live Shopify App Store listings and each app's own pricing and help pages on October 29, 2026. Bundle app pricing changes often (Kitenzo changed its model twice this year), so treat the listing as the source of truth and recheck before you install.
You do need an app for this. Shopify's free Bundles app creates fixed bundles and multipacks, where every shopper gets the same set. It has no builder where the shopper picks their own mix.
Key takeaways
- Mix and match apps differ most in where the mix happens: a dedicated bundle page, a widget on a product page, or a quantity-break selector.
- Pricing models differ more than prices: per store order (MBC), per bundle sales (NeatBundles, Fast Bundle), per transaction (Kitenzo) or flat (Bundler).
- Bundler has the only free plan with no usage cap, but its Mix & Match feature starts on the paid Premium plan.
- NeatBundles is free to use up to $500 of bundle sales a month, and it is the youngest app here, with 6 reviews.
The five apps at a glance
The table below compares the five Shopify mix and match bundle apps on what they're best at, their free option, their entry price and their rating, as listed on the Shopify App Store on October 29, 2026.
| App | Best for | Free option | Paid from | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NeatBundles | Bundle pages and gift boxes | Up to $500 of bundle sales a month | See pricing | 4.9 (6) |
| MBC | Bundles on product pages | Stores with up to 10 orders | $15.99/mo | 4.9 (390) |
| Kitenzo | Headless and custom storefronts | Free to install, 1.5% per bundle transaction | No monthly plan | 4.4 (263) |
| Fast Bundle | Every bundle type in one app | Development stores only | $19/mo | 5.0 (3,616) |
| Bundler | Lowest cost, quantity breaks | Free plan for every store | $9.99/mo | 4.9 (2,759) |
Review counts matter as much as the stars. A 4.9 from six merchants (my app) says far less than a 4.9 from 2,759 (Bundler). The listing links in the table open each app's page in the Shopify App Store.
Where does the mix and match happen?
A mix and match bundle is a bundle where the shopper chooses which products go in it, from a set the merchant defines, and gets a bundle price or discount for the combination. All five apps can do that. What changes is the place it happens, and that's the first thing to decide:
- A dedicated bundle page. The shopper lands on a page built for the bundle: a product grid, a running summary and one checkout button. This fits gift boxes, build a box offers and "pick any 6" deals. NeatBundles and Kitenzo are built around this.
- A widget on a product page. The shopper is looking at one product and the app offers a set around it: "buy the T-shirt and shorts together and save 15%". MBC leans this way, and Fast Bundle and Bundler both offer it.
- A quantity or tier selector. "Buy 2, save 10%, buy 3, save 15%", across a set of products. Bundler and Fast Bundle are strong here.
If you already know which of the three you want, half the list falls away.
Mix and match features side by side
Feature lists on the App Store all look alike, so I checked each app's help docs for the features that decide how good a mix and match bundle can be. "Not documented" means I couldn't find it in the app's listing or docs on October 29, 2026, not that it's impossible.

NeatBundles: for full build your own bundle pages
NeatBundles is a mix and match bundle builder focused on full-page build your own bundle experiences. You pick the products, the shopper builds the bundle on its own page, either all on one page or through guided steps, and the bundle reaches checkout as one line with every product listed under it.
Here's the coffee bundle from our demo store with three bags picked. The bundle is capped at three products, so the rest of the grid greys out, and the panel shows the 15% discount and the new total:

What it does well
- The bundle page is the product. Grid, live "Your Bundle" summary, discount hints like "Add 3 more products to get 15% off", and limits on how many products shoppers can pick.
- Single-page or multi-step guided flows, plus personalization fields (text, image upload, dates, multiple choice) for gift messages and custom boxes.
- A pricing rules engine. Each rule checks how many products are picked, how many bundles are in the cart or the bundle's value (more than, less than, exactly), and then takes a percentage or amount off, sets a bundle price or sets a price per product. Rules stack into tiers ("3 for 10% off, 5 for 15% off") with a live progress display, and you can set prices per currency.
- Free gift slots (one product, a choice of products, or free shipping) and add-on products in the bundle panel, each unlocked by its own conditions.
- The bundle reaches checkout through Shopify's own Cart Transform and discount functions, so there are no draft orders or generated discount codes, and built-in analytics show bundle revenue, AOV and your best-selling bundles.
- Every feature is on every plan, and it's free to use up to $500 of bundle sales a month. The rest of the tiers are on the pricing page.
Where it's ahead of the others
- The most generous free start for a live store: mix and match and every other feature, free up to $500 of bundle sales a month. MBC's free plan stops at 10 store orders, Bundler and Fast Bundle charge for mix and match on a live store, and Kitenzo takes 1.5% from the first sale.
- Personalization goes further than anywhere else on the list: text, image uploads, dates and multiple choice, in a single final step or as their own steps. MBC and Kitenzo each document one free-text field.
- You pay on bundle sales only. MBC counts every store order and Fast Bundle counts revenue from all its offers.
- More flexible pricing inside one bundle than MBC (percentage only) or Fast Bundle (three tiers), and bundle prices per currency, which none of the others document.
Where it falls short
- It's young. The listing went live in January 2025 and has 6 reviews, so you're trusting a small track record.
- It's built around the bundle page. If what you mainly want is frequently bought together blocks, BOGO offers or quantity-break selectors on product pages, Fast Bundle or Bundler cover that and NeatBundles doesn't.
- No Shopify POS support and no headless API yet, so it's for stores selling through an online store theme.
If you want to see the setup, I walk through it in how to create mix and match bundles on Shopify, and the mix and match bundles feature page lists the rules and discount options.
MBC Mix and Match Bundles: for bundles on product pages
MBC Mix and Match Bundles is a bundle app that mostly works on product pages: a shopper viewing one product sees a set around it, can pick products and change quantities, and buys the set at a bundle price. Unlike NeatBundles, it isn't built around a separate bundle page.

What it does well
- Covers a lot of bundle types in one place: product bundles, mix and match, buy X get Y, BOGO and free gifts, and quantity breaks.
- Built for Shopify badge, on the App Store since 2019, and a 4.9 rating from 390 reviews. Reviewers often call it intuitive.
- Works with Shopify POS and Markets, and discounts apply automatically through Shopify Functions, with no codes.
Where it falls short
- The free plan covers stores with up to 10 orders, so most live stores will be on a paid tier, starting at $15.99/month.
- The tiers are set by all store orders over the last 30 days, not only orders with a bundle, and MBC moves you up a tier automatically when you pass a limit. A busy store with few bundle orders still pays for its full order volume.
- Discount tiers are percentage only, and personalization is one text field.
- Mix and match happens inside one product-page widget. MBC's own docs say it has no multi-step build your own box flow; that's a separate app, MBC Bundle Builder.
Kitenzo Bundle Builder: for headless and custom storefronts
Kitenzo Bundle Builder is one of the original build your own bundle apps on Shopify, launched in 2017, and today it's the most developer-oriented option on this list. It builds full bundle pages and gift boxes, and adds a conditions engine, a React SDK and a headless API.

Like NeatBundles, it has a rules builder. You can chain conditions ("cart contains a hoodie and at least 2 items") to show products, apply volume pricing or add a free gift:

What it does well
- Deep customization of colors and layouts, plus a conditions engine for product visibility, volume pricing and free gifts.
- Works across a Shopify theme, a Hydrogen storefront or a custom React front end, which matters if you've gone headless.
- The closest like-for-like rival to NeatBundles: multi-step bundle pages, unlimited discount tiers and free gift rules.
- Built for Shopify badge, a 2024 Shopify Build Award, and A/B testing included.
Where it falls short
- Pricing is now 1.5% of every bundle transaction, with no monthly fee and no free trial. At $10,000 of bundle sales a month, that's $150. The pricing page caps the fee at $10,000 per 30 days and keeps development stores free until launch. Earlier in 2026 it charged a monthly fee plus a percentage ($299/month plus 1% in June).
- Personalization is a single notes field, so photo uploads or dated deliveries need a workaround.
- It has the lowest rating of the five, 4.4 from 263 reviews, with 11% of ratings at one star. Read the recent reviews before you decide.
- If you don't need a headless storefront or a developer SDK, it's more tool than you'll use.
FBP Fast Bundle: for every bundle type in one app
FBP Fast Bundle is an all-in-one bundle and upsell app. Shopper-picked bundles are one feature among many: fixed bundles, volume discounts, BOGO, buy X get Y, free gifts, add-ons, frequently bought together and a bundle builder page.

What it does well
- The widest range of bundle and upsell types here, so one app can replace two or three.
- A 5.0 rating from 3,616 reviews, the largest review base of the five, and 10 languages.
- AI features such as bundle image generation, plus a Hydrogen embed for headless stores. The listing mentions POS-ready options, though its pricing page ties POS integration to the higher plans.
Where it falls short
- Free only for development stores on the listing. Live stores start at $19/month for up to $1,000 of monthly revenue, and that revenue counts every Fast Bundle offer (volume discounts, add-ons, frequently bought together), not only bundles.
- If you pass your plan's limit, you get 48 hours to upgrade before your bundles are hidden until the next billing cycle. Worth knowing before Black Friday.
- Mix and match tiers stop at three, and personalization fields aren't documented.
- It's the only app here without the Built for Shopify badge.
- Because it does everything, a store that only wants one build your own bundle page gets a busier admin than it needs.
Bundler: for the lowest cost
Bundler is an all-in-one bundle app, similar in scope to Fast Bundle, that competes on price. It's the low-cost alternative, and the live listing backs that up.

What it does well
- A free plan for every store, with no cap on revenue or orders, covering buy X get Y, volume discounts and quantity breaks.
- Paid plans start at $9.99/month and, per the listing, put no limit on revenue generated through Bundler.
- Built for Shopify badge, a 4.9 rating from 2,759 reviews, and Shopify POS on the free plan.
Where it falls short
- Mix & Match, tiered mix and match and custom landing pages are listed under the $9.99 Premium plan, not the free one. If mix and match is the reason you're installing, budget for Premium.
- Discounts are applied through draft orders by default, or discount codes, not Shopify Functions. With draft orders, Shopify automatic discounts don't apply at checkout.
- A bundle has to list specific products; it can't use a whole collection. Fine for a small range, slow to maintain for a big one.
- Analytics are on the $19.99 Executive plan only.
How the pricing models compare as you grow
The pricing model decides what you pay at scale more than the entry price does. These are the four models on this list, as described on each listing on October 29, 2026:
- Per bundle sales (NeatBundles, Fast Bundle). You pay by the revenue that goes through bundles. A store that sells few bundles pays little, whatever its total revenue. NeatBundles is free to use up to $500 of bundle sales a month; Fast Bundle starts at $19/month for up to $1,000 of revenue across all its offers.
- Per store orders (MBC). Tiers follow all store orders and upgrade automatically. That's predictable, but a busy store with few bundle orders still moves up tiers.
- Per transaction (Kitenzo). 1.5% of each bundle transaction. Nothing to pay before you sell, and the cost grows in a straight line with bundle revenue until the $10,000 monthly cap.
- Flat (Bundler). A fixed monthly price with no revenue cap. The cheapest at high volume, as long as its features cover what you need.
Tip: Before installing, estimate your bundle sales for a normal month and a peak month (Black Friday, holidays) and price each app at both. An app that's cheapest in March can be the most expensive in December.
How each app gets the discount to checkout
This is the difference you can't see on a feature list, and it decides whether bundles play nicely with your other discounts.
| App | How the bundle discount is applied | Shopify POS |
|---|---|---|
| NeatBundles | Shopify Cart Transform and discount functions | No |
| MBC | Automatic Shopify Functions discounts | Yes |
| Kitenzo | Shopify Cart Transform, native checkout | Not listed |
| Fast Bundle | Shopify Functions, or a discount code per cart | Higher plans |
| Bundler | Draft orders by default, or discount codes | Yes, on the free plan |
Function-based discounts run inside Shopify's normal checkout and follow its discount combination settings. Draft orders and generated codes are older workarounds: they work, but automatic discounts may not apply on top, and the checkout can behave differently.
Which one should you pick?
The right pick depends on how your shoppers buy and what else you need from the app. Here's how I'd decide:
- You want a page where shoppers build a gift box or "pick any N" bundle: NeatBundles, or Kitenzo if you run a headless storefront. The build your own bundle feature page shows what that looks like, and The Pin Theory case study shows a real store doing it.
- You want shoppers to build a set from the product page they're on: MBC.
- You want mix and match plus BOGO, free gifts, add-ons and upsells in one app: Fast Bundle.
- You're watching every dollar and quantity breaks matter most: Bundler, on Premium if you need mix and match.
- You're a headless store with developers who want an SDK and API: Kitenzo.
Heads up: Trial one bundle app at a time. With two bundle apps running, their offers can overlap on the same products and it gets hard to tell which app created which discount, so you can't judge either one fairly.
Frequently asked questions
Does Shopify have a free mix and match bundle app?
No. Shopify's free Bundles app creates fixed bundles and multipacks, where every shopper buys the same set. To let shoppers choose their own mix from a group of products, you need a third-party app such as NeatBundles, MBC, Kitenzo, Fast Bundle or Bundler.
What is the cheapest Shopify mix and match bundle app?
It depends on volume. On October 29, 2026, Bundler's mix and match started at $9.99/month with no revenue cap. NeatBundles is free to use up to $500 of bundle sales a month, which suits stores just starting with bundles. MBC is free for stores with up to 10 orders.
What's the difference between mix and match and build your own bundle?
Mix and match means shoppers choose which products go in a bundle from a set you define. Build your own bundle is a mix and match bundle presented on its own page, with a product grid and a running summary, so the bundle feels like a product the shopper designs.
Are the ratings on these apps comparable?
Only roughly. A rating means more when it rests on many reviews: Fast Bundle's 5.0 comes from 3,616 reviews, while NeatBundles' 4.9 comes from 6. Read a few recent reviews, especially the low ones, to see what goes wrong and how the developer responds.
Is this list biased toward NeatBundles?
I build NeatBundles, so read it with that in mind. To keep it fair, there's no ranking, every number comes from the live App Store listing with the check date, and each app, mine included, gets its weak spots. For product-page bundles or the lowest cost, another app here is the better choice.
Before you install
These apps look alike on a feature list and very different in the store. Before you choose one:
- Decide where the mix should happen: its own page, a product page or a quantity selector.
- Price the app at your normal and peak bundle sales, not just the entry tier.
- Open each app's demo store from its listing and build a bundle on your phone.
- Recheck the listing price on the day you install. Kitenzo went from a monthly fee plus a percentage to a percentage only within a few months this year.
If a dedicated bundle page is what you're after, you can install NeatBundles from the Shopify App Store and build your first bundle page for free.
